Orange County Convention Center Expansion

In early 2025, MJW Fire Protection was brought in to assist Turner Construction with budgeting for a major expansion project at the Orange County Convention Center. As the project developed, MJW continued to work closely with Turner, providing updated budgets as the design progressed through the 50%, 75%, and 100% drawing stages.

Our continued collaboration and commitment to the project ultimately led to MJW being awarded the contract in February 2026 for this significant fire protection installation.

The project includes engineering, BIM coordination, and the installation of new wet and dry fire sprinkler systems throughout a 900,000-square-foot, two-story addition extending the entire length of the west side of the existing convention center.

MJW is currently in the design phase and has completed select pre-work demolition activities. Construction is scheduled to begin on site in February 2027, with an anticipated duration of approximately 18 months.

We are proud to partner with Turner Construction once again and look forward to contributing our expertise to another successful project at one of Central Florida’s major facilities.
