Mark S WoodIn 1991 Mark formed Milton J Wood Fire Protection, Inc. with the goal of providing fire protection and fire alarm services to the same complex manufacturing clients served by Milton J. Wood Company. In 2001 Mark established MJW Consolidated, Inc. ESOP with the goal of transferring ownership of Milton J. Wood Company and Milton J. Wood Fire Protection, Inc. to the employees who contributed to the success of the companies. By 2009, 92% of the ownership of the companies had been transferred to the ESOP Plan. In 2010 Mark was elected Chief Executive Officer.
During his career Mark has led many industry associations and nonprofit groups including: Chairman & Trustee of Jacksonville Public Library, President Northeast Florida Safety Council, Director of Episcopal Children Services, Director Boys and Girls Hope of Jacksonville, Director First Coast Manufactures Association, President Northeast Florida Associated General Contractors, President Florida State Council Associated General Contractors, Chairman Southeastern Ironworkers Health and Welfare Fund. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration from Florida State University.
Zarko Ognjenovic, PE Zarko joined Milton J. Wood Fire Protection, Inc. in 1995 as a lead fire protection design engineer. Prior to joining us, Zarko gained valuable experience providing fire protection design services in Europe. Since that time, Zarko has continued to gain experience on a wide range of government and private sector projects throughout the United States and Europe, progressing through positions in system design, estimating and project management. Zarko is a member of NFPA, NFSA, President of the NE Florida SFPE Chapter and FFSA Board Member. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Zagreb, Croatia; NICET Level IV Automatic Sprinkler Systems Layout, NICET Level IV Special Hazards Suppression Systems, NICET Level II Fire Alarm Systems and is a licensed Fire Protection Engineer in several states in the southeast.
Albert “Chip” BozemanChip was one of our two founding members in 1991. He began his career in fire protection in 1980 as a Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice. After completing his apprenticeship Chip has mastered every area of the fire protection field including: system design, purchasing, fabrication, estimating and project management. Chip is licensed in most southeastern states and holds NICET Level IV in Automatic Sprinkler Layout, NICET Level III in ITM of Water Based Systems, and NICET Level II in Special Hazards Suppression Systems.
Annmarie M. NemethAnnmarie joined the company in 2002 after working on the audit team for the companies’ outside auditor for five years. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Construction Financial Management Association. She serves as trustee for the Florida United Brotherhood of Carpenters Pension and Health and Welfare Fund. She served from 2007 to 2010 as the Finance Committee Chair for the First Coast Manufacturers Association. Annmarie is a graduate from the University of Florida with a BS BA in Finance and graduate from Florida Atlantic University with a BS in Accounting and is a Florida licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Doug McQuistonDoug joined Milton J. Wood Fire Protection in April 2010 as District Manager in the Company’s Savannah office. He has more than thirty years of experience in fire protection contracting, having held positions in design and design management, project management, sales and estimating, and branch office management. Doug graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. He holds NICET Level IV certification in Automatic Sprinkler System Layout, NICET Level III certification in Inspection and Testing, and NICET Level I certification in Special Hazards.;
Glenn PainterGlenn grew up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and joined Milton J. Wood Fire Protection, Inc. in 2003 after graduating from Seneca College with a degree in Fire Protection Engineering Technology. After working in the Jacksonville office under Zarko’s supervision for six years, Glenn was promoted to Central Florida Area Manager where he is responsible for all phases of Milton J. Wood Fire Protection, Inc. operations in that area. Glenn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati and holds NICET Level III in Automatic Sprinkler Layout, NICET Level II in Fire Alarm, NICET Level III in Special Hazards and NICET Level I in Inspection and Testing.
Neil Ross, CSPNeil joined MJW Consolidated in May 2012. Prior to MJW, Neil has held many prominent positions in the Safety Industry such as the Regional Safety Training Director for a nationwide electrical company, Safety/HR Officer for the City of Orlando and the Fabrication Division Safety Manager for a large aerospace manufacturing firm. Neil is a certified SafeStart trainer, an OSHA 500 Outreach Instructor, an OSHA 501 Outreach Instructor, an ASHI Training Center Director, and a LEED AP among others. Neil holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Management.
Keven BarberKeven leads a group of field employees who serve as the leaders of the Milton J. Wood Behavior Based Safety Committee. This committee trains work observers, reviews observation reports, communicates safety recommendations to the Corporate Officers and oversees the implementation of new safety policies throughout the company.
